ABSTRACT: This study explored the role of early childhood education in fostering global citizenship. The objectives were to: (1) evaluate the impact of early education on understanding global issues, (2) assess the effectiveness of multicultural activities in promoting inclusivity, and (3) determine the long-term benefits of global citizenship education. A survey design was chosen to collect data from educators, parents, and children about their experiences with global citizenship education. A sample size of 160 participants was selected through purposive sampling. The case study was conducted in early childhood education centers in Abuja, Nigeria. Findings indicated that early childhood education significantly improved understanding of global issues, with multicultural activities promoting inclusivity and empathy. Long-term benefits included enhanced global awareness and proactive engagement in global issues. It was recommended that early childhood education programs integrate global citizenship education into their curricula and provide training for educators to effectively teach these concepts.
